The Abortion Bridge Collaborative Fund: Straightforward Grantmaking in a High-Stakes Space
Key Results

For Abortion Bridge Collaborative (ABC) Fund Director Amanda Beatriz Williams, convening grantmakers and preparing materials for monthly meetings is quite a lift.
"While I have infrastructure support from Women Donors Network, I am responsible for the day-to-day operations of the ABC Fund, and it’s ultimately my job to ensure we’re moving resources to the field quickly, boldly, and strategically." she says.
As a grantee herself, she had encountered burdensome experiences on other portals. "I have engaged in grant portals as a grantee and they can be very confusing," she notes.
What she wanted for ABC's applicants was the opposite: transparency, clarity, and timeliness.
Amanda has used JustFund since her start at ABC. The platform gives her a secure, straightforward way to collect narrative proposals from applicants.
"It seems to make it easy and straightforward for applicants," she says, "which is the biggest priority."
The platform also handles secure collection and storage of sensitive proposals, which she appreciates, especially in this politically charged space.
The feedback from their grantees reflects Amanda’s goals for the fund:
In ABC's annual grantee survey from October 2025, over 80% of respondents rated their experience with the platform positive or very positive.
Grantees appreciate the ability to browse other funding opportunities, a direct benefit of JustFund's Common App network, which surfaces applicants to over 1,100 funders.
Since its founding in 2022, ABC Fund has moved over $13 million to more than 100 grantees.

Following the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade and Planned Parenthood v. Casey, tens of millions of Americans had their access to abortion severely restricted or completely banned. The Abortion Bridge Collaborative (ABC) Fund was established to ensure abortion care and advance reproductive justice across the United States. The ABC Fund is a movement-centered grantmaking fund and initiative of the Women Donors Network (WDN) that moves resources quickly to those on the frontlines of abortion access. WDN raises and pools donor funds, and ABC deploys them using the expertise of its Grantmaking Advisory Council of activists, movement leaders, abortion providers, and attorneys.
Key Learnings
