Partner Announcement: Gerbode Foundation, A Legacy of Trust-Based Giving

Founded in the Bay Area, the Gerbode Foundation, has spent decades supporting movements across performing arts, justice, environment, and advocacy. Their legacy has always centered on trusting community leaders to lead, maintaining an unwavering commitment to equity, trust, and community-centered impact.

As the foundation enters a new phase of transition, they sought a grantmaking solution that could not only support their streamlined, values-aligned approach but remove barriers to funding for their applicants, and connect them with a broader ecosystem of movement-aligned funders. Seeing familiar names and strategic partners such as New Breath Foundation and Hawaiʻi People’s Fund within the JustFund community reinforced their decision.
