Towards Justice is a nonprofit law firm that represents workers in litigation and other advocacy in an effort to build worker power and advance economic justice in Colorado and across the country. Towards Justice was looking for new ways to access funders beyond its network, so it turned to JustFund after being referred by a partner.

Pilgrim's Progress CDC helps community buildings become environmentally sustainable so organizations can continue to provide important social services for their local communities without having to worry about increasing utility, water, electricity, and gas costs. Founded in 2019, the organization ensures that those directly impacted, particularly those who have been excluded in the past, are at the center of the movement for change. When the organization was seeking alternative funding sources after an unexpected setback, a peer recommended JustFund. “What ultimately convinced me was that JustFund’s approach respects the capacity and lived experience of frontline leaders,” said Sheila Curry-Campbell, Program Director Resource Manager, Pilgrim's Progress CDC. “It reduces the gatekeeping and honors the impact we make every day, often with limited resources. It felt like an invitation to belong, not just apply.”

Commission Shift is a Texas-based nonprofit working to hold the Railroad Commission of Texas accountable. Facing the urgent need to address pollution and environmental injustice in one of the nation’s largest energy-producing states, the organization sought to expand and diversify its funding base to meet growing community demands and strengthen long-term sustainability.

Love Is Stronger GV is a grassroots organization led by formerly incarcerated leaders and trauma-informed coaches. Serving Multnomah, Washington, and Clark Counties in the Pacific Northwest, Love Is Stronger GV focuses on healing, de-escalation, and civic engagement for gang-impacted youth and their families. Their equity-focused programs, such as #BulletFreeWeekends, Learn & Earn, and Unity in Community, work to break cycles of violence with love, accountability, and community-based strategies. When the organization was looking for a network that understood the needs of BIPOC-led nonprofits, they found a partner in JustFund.  “The most surprising aspect of JustFund was its radical efficiency – saving applicants an estimated 57 years of collective application time across the sector – while being built entirely by funders and organizers of color with lived experience in inequities,” said Lionel Irving, Executive Director, Love Is Stronger GV.

Amplify Fund is a place-focused, pooled fund with two strategic goals: 1) to nurture and strengthen the conditions necessary for historically marginalized people to maintain and build decision-making power in place, and 2) to shift where, to whom, and how philanthropy provides support.
